Alan Garforth will be our speaker on 18th March on the subject of

Chocolate - Food of the Gods.

The competition is a chocolate recipe. 

 If you wish you can bring a sample of your recipe but only the actual recipe will be judged. 

Visit to Hanwell Observatory is on 23rd March.

MIDDLETON CHENEY WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

ALL KINDS OF OPPORTUNITES FOR ALL KINDS OF WOMEN

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month in the Village Hall at 7.30pm.We have speakers on topics of interest to our members (new ideas are always welcome), together with mid-summer and Christmas socials. We also arrange visits to places of interest; the most recent one being to Westonburt Arboretum to see the autumn colours.

Our darts team has been very successful in the W.I county tournaments. We also help with refreshments at many village events including the Village Hall Open Day and other charity fund-raising events.

Each member receives a Northamptonshire Newsletter giving information on events happening in the county and 8 copies a year of the magazine W.I. Life.

The W.I. campaigns both locally and nationally on many issues. Recent campaigns include - Saving Our Honeybees, Environment and Climate Change, Ending Violence Against Women and Ending the Inappropriate Detention of People with Mental Health Problems.
