Car Parking at the Village Hall
Again, we have had a number of incidents this week with parents parking on the yellow and zig zag lines. This blocks the view for our crossing patrol officer and is extremely dangerous. We are now allowed to use the village hall car park both in the mornings and afternoons. Can parents please use this as much as possible. There is an alleyway that runs from the village hall, behind the school field and parents are welcome to use the back gate and path on the field through to the playground. There are no roads to cross and it is less than a minute’s walk. Thank you for your support in this.
Sledging Litter Initiative
Just a reminder, we will be meeting in the main reception at 3.30pm and would like to see as many of you as possible. Thank you.
Sports
We were delighted to see so many children attend the recent cross country tournament at Chenderit on 4 March. We did very well and the results are on the parents’ noticeboard if you would like to see.
We would like to thank all the children that attended the netball tournament yesterday. They all looked extremely smart in the netball kits. We are now looking into the possibility of running a lunchtime netball club and will keep you informed.
REMINDER – we are extremely low on school PE kits/sports kits. Can everyone please return to the school as soon as possible.
Chenderit School Admissions
We have been asked by Chenderit to remind parents that you do need to accept your child’s place – this must be done either by completing the form attached to the letter you received, or on the website if you did your application online. PLACES WILL BE GIVEN TO OTHER STUDENTS IF ACCEPTANCE IS NOT RECEIVED THIS WAY BY COUNTY. The system has changed again recently so it must be stressed it is very different now from when siblings may have gone.
