May Day 2012 - 7th May

The Primary School, the Library, the Parish Office, Urban Angelz and the Butlers Pantry.

 

The Middleton Cheney Scarecrow Trail

Scarecrow Trail Information

 

  • The theme for 2012 is Olympics
  • The competition is open to individuals, groups, clubs and businesses based in Middleton Cheney.
  • Entering a scarecrow for judging is free. 
  • Participants must complete an entry form to ensure they are included on the map.
  • Your scarecrow can be anything with an Olympic connection; you can use any materials, just have fun and use your imagination!!
  • Displays must be available for viewing from 10am until 6pm on Monday 7th May
  • Completed forms to be sent to the Parish meeting Room or emailed to Alison@middletoncheney.org.uk no later than Friday 27th April to ensure inclusion.
  • Please do not change the name of your scarecrow once you have submitted your entry form or total confusion will result!
  • If you decided NOT to participate once you have registered please let us know so we can delete your location from the map.
  • Each scarecrow entry received will be given a number and viewers are asked to vote for their top three. 
  • Voting forms and maps will be available at the Parish meeting Rooms between 10am and 11am on 7th May at the cost of £1 per voting form.
  • Completed voting forms should be returned to the Parish Meeting Rooms by 7pm on Monday 7th May.
  • Winners are chosen by a “favourite” vote by teams or individuals who take part in the trail and fill out and returned an official voting form.
  • Votes will be tallied after 7pm and the winners will be announced on the village notice board, the website and facebook page as soon as they are available.
  • Prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

Don’t forget to get your teddy bears ready for the Teddy Bear Parachute jump on the 7th May 2012
