"Desert Trek: Sinai to the Red Sea"
Jane Bullock will be talking about her experiences trekking across the Sinai Desert in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.
£1 per person, refreshments available. All profits will be donated to the Alzheimer's society Places are limited so please book at the library or tel. 710796 Health Walks Middleton Library will be hosting the first of a series of monthly "Rehab" walks on Wednesday, 12th May. Designed for the elderly and those recovering from a hospital stay who want to begin to get out and about, they are short, accompanied village walks that will begin and end at the library, where refreshments will be served at a small charge of £1. Chatterbooks
Monthly meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month, from 3.30 – 4.30
If you enjoy books, are in Year 4,5 or 6 and want to join in the fun please contact the library.

Homework Club
The library will soon be starting an after school homework club for 8 – 12 yr olds. Library staff will be on hand to help students access and research information for their homework using a variety of media. All print outs will be free. Please contact the library to sign up and find out more.
Play Reading Group.
The library is planning to start a play reading group for the over 50s.
Meetings will be held monthly in the mornings and the group will read from a variety of plays from crime to classics. It will be fun and informal and will be led by our own professionally trained actor/librarian Gilly Tomkins.
