Health walks are part of the ‘Walking the Way to Health’ national initiative, which has been developed by local partners. The walks aim to provide opportunities for people who currently do no exercise to take advantage if this free, easy and beneficial activity. Trained walk leaders will be leading the walks. All walks start at 10.00am.
There is no need to book, just turn up on the day. Please note that the walks may involve crossing fields with animals in them, climbing stiles as necessary and that dogs are NOT allowed on these walks. Also note that it is advisable to wear suitable clothing a footwear.
The Friday walk requires a greater degree of fitness. At the end of the walks, most people stop for refreshments and a chat. Why not come along and share in this popular activity, meet new people and enjoy the local countryside?
