Have Your Say > Cold Callers

Has anyone else had any cold callers this week! I have had 3 and totally fed up with answering the door.
I think I was most annoyed with one that was from the local council wanting to ask questions about the recylclng , surely the council knows that this is a no cold call area.
Who do we call to put a stop to them.....?

There is a number for you to call to report cold callers. It is
0845 404 0506 and can be found in the Cheney Chatter. It is one of the useful numbers which run along the bottom of the pages in the Cheney Chatter.

Hope this helps

I was under the impression for some time that the whole village was a No Cold Call Area. I was certain I had read this in either a newsletter or The Banbury Guardian.
I also have a No Cold Callers sticker on my front door. Despite this I get an awful lot of cold callers. I pointed out to one of them that Middleton Cheney is a No Cold Call Area and he basically laughed in my face. He asked where the sign was. We don't have one in my street. He told me that if there is no sign then cold callers are 'allowed'. I pointed out the sign on my door. He told me his offer was too good not to call at my house(!). He then told me that you cannot make an entire village a No Cold Call Area and it really only applies to particular streets where there are a lot of vulnerable people, such as the elderly.

Reckon it's time you called the telephone no. suggested by the Clerk - it's time they knew about the hassle you're getting 'Nonny' and the daft answers these persistent Cold Callers are coming up with. I hope you told him where to stick his - Good Offer!
