New Services at Co-op Pharmacy

Stop Smoking.  Rachel Jones and Claire Clyne are now accredited to provide NHS Stop Smoking consultations.  At present, these are only available to patients registered at surgeries in Brackley.  At the initial consultation, nicotine replacement therapy such as patches, gum, lozenges or inhalator are supplied on NHS prescription.  This means they cost £7.20 or are free if you qualify for free prescriptions.  A carbon monoxide breath test is taken at each follow up appointment every two weeks.  Please ask for details.

National Chlamydia Screening Programme

Are you aged 15-25 years old and sexually active?  You are entitled to a free Chlamydia test every year.  All it takes is a urine sample and results are confidential and can be sent by text.  Statistics show 1 out of 14 tests are positive even though no symptoms are present.  Treatment is usually simple, a single dose of antibiotics.  Our private consultation room is available for this and the emergency contraceptive pill.

Prescriptions

If you have a large repeat prescription, please use our prescription collection service or call back where possible.  This enables us to spread our workload and offer a faster turnaround for acutely ill patients waiting for antibiotics or painkillers.
