The Brackley and District Wildlife Trust are part of the Bedfordshire, Cambridge, Northampton and Peterborough Wildlife Trust.
Since the early 1980’s local residents of the Brackley area have been protecting the wildlife in a little corner of Farthinghoe and their commitment has enabled the local flora and fauna to flourish.
A disused railway cutting close to Middleton Cheney which was used as a landfill site until the seventies, the Farthinghoe Nature Reserve is now home to an abundance of wildlife. A patchwork of woodland and wildflower meadows which attract a host of different species including butterflies, dragonflies and birds, the reserve is a fabulous place to appreciate Mother Nature at her very best.
Members of the Trust come from all walks of life and their commitment ensures that the Farthinghoe Reserve remains a haven for the regions many endangered species as well as those of the two-legged variety who would like to commune with nature in peace, away from the hustle and bustle. Always seeking new members and supporters, the Brackley and District Wildlife Trust meet regularly for outdoor walks, informal coffee mornings, fund raising events and for practical work on the nature reserve.

If you are interested in helping local wildlife, fancy getting involved with the practical side of things (no experience needed) or simply want more information on the local group, Farthinghoe Reserve, and upcoming events why not contact us;
