Caroline Chappell

painter:tutor

Caroline is well known locally as an artist, teacher and tutor.

She teaches regularly at Mill Arts Centre, Banbury as well as running private workshops and art groups.

Her paintings are inspired by her responses to the world.  She walks the land, often along muddy tracks in wild weather, notebook and camera in hand.

Still life paintings are anything but still.

I am constantly exploring colour, texture and form to create another reality which is fresh and enigmatic  My goal is to provoke a response.

Middleton Cheney Art Groups meet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Chacombe Village Hall.Caroline Chappell is the tutor, and people of all abilities are welcome.

Caroline also runs a programme of one and two day workshops as well as organising a variety of  Art visits and talks to galleries such as Compton Verney and Ashmolean Museum Oxford as well as The Royal Academy London, and Kettle's Yard, Cambridge.

The Art Group hold an annual exhibition in Middleton Cheney Library where some of the recent work is for sale.
