Caroline Chappell
painter:tutor
Caroline is well known locally as an artist, teacher and tutor.
She teaches regularly at Mill Arts Centre, Banbury as well as running private workshops and art groups.
Her paintings are inspired by her responses to the world. She walks the land, often along muddy tracks in wild weather, notebook and camera in hand.
Still life paintings are anything but still.
I am constantly exploring colour, texture and form to create another reality which is fresh and enigmatic My goal is to provoke a response.
MIDDLETON CHENEY ART GROUP
The Middleton Cheney Art Group will be holding their annual Art Exhibition in the Library at Middleton Cheney from Wednesday 9th May to Thursday May 24th. It will be open from 2pm to 6pm on Mondays to Fridays, 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and 1pm to 4pm on Sundays.
The Art Group has been in existence for five years and they meet once a week for three hours of painting drawing and chatting. Caroline Chappell, the tutor, teaches mixed media, drawing and painting techniques and also holds one day workshops through the year. Coach trips to exhibitions are occasionally arranged and are usually very enjoyable with good attendance. The last one was to the Picasso and Lucian Freud exhibitions.
It is a small friendly group, who also socialise for lunches and outings.
We hope that our loyal fans will visit as usual and hope that we can encourage new visitors. We would like an opportunity to show off our work, including unfinished ones and you might see something that you would like to buy, as some will be for sale.
If you are interested in joining the group, there will be information available.
These are a few photographs taken during one of the classes.
