Floral Festival

A major event in the village calendar, focused on All Saints, but involving many village organisations on 3 & 4 July, 11-4 each day and closing with a Songs of Praise service at 6.

Focus of the Festival will be a display of fresh flower arrangements throughout the church on the theme of ‘Village Life’ .Tickets will be £5 a day. Proceeds to maintaining the fabric of the church.

For your money you get more opportunities than can be grasped in one day –

  • The beauty of flowers in our historic church
  • Access to a unique family history archive of village families
  • A design exhibition from Chenderit
  • Bell-ringing, both large and small
  • An organ recital on Sunday

Then, outside the church:

  • The Garden Club stall selling plants found in the window and other designs within the church
  • Four village gardens  (with refreshments) open each day ;

This replaces the NGS Open Garden scheme and includes new gardens to the list.

  • A guided walk around the history of recent Middleton developments and the stories behind some that didn’t happen

Watch out for more detailed (and confirmed) programmes later in the year and get ready for an active weekend.
